OUR HISTORY
Mothers Little
Helper was founded in Melbourne by Louise Dunham in 1988. The Agency was
one of the first to offer quality screened childcarers and the
additions of cleaning and ironing and complete Home Management Services to
busy working people. In 1996 another similar business was bought out -
International Nanny Services and the two were merged into one company. The
name was changed in 1998 to Placement Solutions.
We pride ourselves
on maintaining a friendly reliable service to both clients and staff. We
work hard to find a balance between care for the clients and the rights of
staff as we believe that happy staff bring joy, enthusiasm and
quality care to their placement.
SECURITY AND ASSURANCE
To that extent we
offer home visits to all clients so that we can ensure the needs of
all parties are met.
Placement
Solutions take great care in choosing
appropriate child care staff and home managers as we are very aware that
your children and your home are the most private and precious aspects and
assets of your life. Therefore you need to know that they are in
competent, compassionate and responsible hands. Each family is entirely
different with entirely different needs so together we work with you to
select and refine your criteria and job description to get exactly the
help you need and want.
All staff are
police-checked and personally interviewed. All staff are thoroughly
reference checked .
Our premium
Carers also fill in a comprehensive
specially designed application form and care aptitude form. They
must have at least two years child care experience and a current
first aid certificate.

RECOGNITION
The owner of this
agency is proud to be one of the instigators and past President of the
Victorian based Australian Association Of Nanny Agencies. This Association
set industry benchmarks and a voluntary code of ethics designed to ensure
that the industry is self regulating and that the safety, welfare and
happiness of your children is our paramount
duty.
From 2005 we are
proud to be members of the inaugural National In home Care Association (
NICA ) which has met this year in both Melbourne and Sydney and has
attained representation on

Child Care Reference Group
Training
Placement Solutions offers training to those
childcare workers who are experienced but not technically qualified.This
training is Certificate 3 in Childrens Services ,a goverment
accreditted nationally recognised training programme .This training is
undertaken in their own time but means our Carers are up to date with all
aspects of care .We are strongly committed to training more great
Australian Nannies and see this as a valuable way to help the current
shortage of childcare workers in the country .We also relish the opportunity to train Sole Parents
going back into the workforce under the new government Welfare to
Work Programme
The office of
Placement Solutions is open Monday through to Friday and Saturday
mornings.
